Through My Eyes

Through My Eyes is an initiative created in 2017 to share and celebrate the stories of women from across Asia—India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore—who are living with metastatic breast cancer (mBC).

With a Facebook community of over 155,000 members, Through My Eyes helps to empower patients through the exchange of mBC information and personal stories. These stories offer a glimpse into the experiences, perspectives, and goals of women living with mBC and of their family members, breast cancer advocates, healthcare professionals, and caregivers.

Additionally, Through My Eyes aims to improve public awareness of mBC, correct misperceptions, combat stigma, and expand the breast cancer conversation to be more inclusive of mBC. The page reminds users that doctors are the best resource for medical advice and information. The health information contained on this site is provided for educational purposes, and it is not intended to replace discussions with a healthcare provider regarding medical advice.

This Facebook page is managed by Pfizer Oncology, Emerging Markets.

Click below to watch Ms Ranjit Kaur, President, Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia, as she answers some of the most frequently asked questions around mBC from the perspective of someone who has experienced breast cancer. This is a prerecorded video from a live stream shown on the Through My Eyes Facebook page.
